Final Reflection

The end of Micro Teaching Class is not the end of suffering but it is the beginning of everything. After Micro Teaching Class, I will have my PPL. I will practice my teaching skills in the real world, in school. Thinking of it makes me nervous. How about doing it? I don't know what will happen when I teach the real students in school. I must be very nervous because I have to prepare many things. I have to prepare the material and then manage the class. It will not be easy but I'm sure that it is not impossible. I have learned teaching skills in my class. I just have to apply the skills in the real world. Although it is not easy, I have to do it. I have to prepare myself for the real class so that I will be good teacher in the future. Hopefully, I will grab my future-students' attention. And the important thing is that I hope my students will learn many things with me because that is the main point of being teacher. Amen :)

the characteristics of a teacher

To be a good a teacher is not easy. We have to master all skills. Besides, we have to prepare the material which is good for students. These are the characteristics of a good teacher:

• · Use the best method which is suitable for the students

• · Be responsible
• · Master teaching media
• · Etc

Although it’s difficult, a teacher should try the best to teach the students. Hopefully, i can be a good teacher so that my students –in the future—will learn anything which is useful for their life.

Appearance

Is appearance important for teacher? The answer is "of course,yes!". When you teach for the first time, your students will "evaluate" you from your appearance. What if you looked messy? I'm sure that your students will not respect you. They will ignore you. And then, you are meaningless for them. They will not care about what you say. Appearance is important for teacher. Teacher should dress appropriately so that the students will respect her/him.

Noisy Students

One difficulty I found when I was teaching is class management. It's hard for me to manage the whole class, especially when the students are very noisy. When the students are very noisy, the teacher should warn the students. Even if there is just one student who is noisy! Why is it important to warn the noisy students? It is because the noisy students will distract other students from their study. The noisy students will break the class' attention. Therefore, teacher should warn the noisy students not to distract other students. The teacher may warn the noisy students by calling their names, asking them question, or just be silent. Be silent will grab students' attention so that they will not be noisy anymore and pay attention to the teacher.

time management

Time management is an important thing in teaching. Before teaching, a teacher should arrange the time well so that he/she knows what to do at class. Teacher should give proportional time for each activities. How long is the time needed to open the class? How long is the time needed to do exercises? It's important to plan how much time needed for each activities so that the students will do the activities well. If the teacher give specific time to do the exercises, it will teach the students to be discipline. It is beneficial for the teachers and also the students.

            Teaching is not easy. There are many things that should be prepared before teaching. There are material, media, appearance, etc. When you have prepared those things, you may start your teaching. However, you can’t teach well if you don’t teach with heart. Teaching is a job to teach other people to learn something. When you just teach someone/some people without caring for their understanding, it is meaningless. When you teach someone/some people, you have to make sure that they understand what you teach. Therefore, you should teach with heart to be good teacher.

reinforcement

                What is the importance of reinforcement? I think reinforcement is important in teaching-learning process because it motivates students to learn more. A teacher should reinforce the students to give appreciation for what they have done. Even if the students make mistakes, a teacher should not say bad words to them. The students will be motivated if the teacher reinforces them and they will do better in the learning process. Reinforcement will affect the students to learn better.
